This sling is made from a material called silk flocking. The fabric itself s 100% silk, much like silk dupioni, with a velvet pattern printed on. The color is beautiful and it is truly a striking garment. In addition to being beautiful it is practical; silk is versatile and very comfortable, it absorbs moisture, it is cool to wear in the summer yet warm to wear in winter, it retains its shape and is relatively smooth, very lustrous and it is the strongest natural fiber. This sling is designed with comfort and security in mind. It is 5 times reinforced for strength. The top pleat is not stitched so it can be opened up and all the pleats on the ring end are fanned to allow for maximum weight distribution.
This sling has been constructed using silver colored SlingRing brand aluminum rings. These rings are made specifically for use in baby carriers and are designed to be lightweight and free of welds. They are strength tested smoothed and made of only the strongest materials. The rings are batch tested to ensure strength and non-toxicity.
The sling is 75" long and 27.5" wide making it large or small enough for most builds of babywearers.
